A couple Spiders

Found a couple spiders, I was thinking of our doccash when I was taking these pictures. Outside a zoo, birds are extremely hard to photograph. These spiders were easy, they didn't move.

I don't know much about spiders, but is the bottom spider a pregnant female? Does anyone know?

They are by the way some Australian spiders, hanging out at the zoo of all places.

That bottom one is definitely a chunky one. Out of curiosity how large are those?

I think they were around a couple inches perhaps 3 inches long with their legs of course. They were on some stairs around 3 or 4 feet away from my camera.

No, as to the pregnancy question. She might be gravid (carrying unlaid eggs) but I doubt even that. She/he looks like a relation to black widow (there are some in Australia, like the red-backed spider) but that's just an observation.

I would stay FAR away from any unknown spider from Oz! The red-backed widow spider there is even more venomous that our California widow spiders (Black is native; brown is introduced from North Africa--three f--ts for globalism!).
