@JPGLSG1234 asked if I would post some pictures of one of my Single Sixes. It's one of those Special Distributor model. I just looked up the serial number and it was produced in 1989. I bought it in 2010 and I believe it was unfired at that time; if I remember correctly I paid $450 or $500. It wasn't originally a convertible, just a regular .22 lr, however a few years ago I did manage to find a magnum cylinder for it, and it fits and functions just fine. But I don't use it all that much.

As you can see, it's got the stainless grip frame and I think only about 500 or so were produced like this. Someone here told me that people would buy these and then use the stainless grip frame on larger caliber Blackhawks. I'm not going to do that. This gun is fantastic as is. It's very, very accurate. I think, partly because when loading you can feel the cylinder chambers are tight. You have to use your thumb to push the bullets into the cylinder. I don't know if this makes it more accurate or not. But no other Single Six I've shot has such tight chambers.

The grips are courtesy of Cary Chapman. He had a karma a while back. I know they are for a 45 Colt and someday I'll have a Ruger Bisley 45 Colt. They aren't very easy to find. And these grips are just beautiful, thanks Cary.

It came with the Yellow Box and has the crescent shaped ejector rod (last picture). So much more comfortable than the button style.

Another Single Six I took out today is a New Model with a 5 1/2 inch barrel. Probably 5 years ago I bought a new front sight from 2 Dogs (Fermin) and it was too tall. After thinking about it for a while I figured why not; and sent the whole gun to David Clements to have him make it nicer. He spent almost a year doing so. At one point he sent me an email and told me to not ever get rid of this gun. It is one of the more accurate Single Sixes he's worked on. I still have that email. And it is oh so very accurate. Turnbull did the CCH. I don't shoot it enough. The grips are by his grip maker, and I'm so sorry I don't know his name, but I think he's here in Texas someplace. The whole deal was done over the phone and when it was ready he just told me how much, no invoice etc. Clements is one of the good guys.

please exuse the thumb prints. Trust me I wipe down the guns after shooting.

Two very nice guns Kevin. Those grips are fantastic. I have to ask though, are those the same grips on both guns? Beautiful grain on them regardless.

The grip pictures seem to have changed from when I first asked. Still very nice though.
