When I was a youngster, the popsicle man came by in a horse drawn wagon. There was a walk-up window on where side where the treats were dispensed.
One summer day I went out to get my cooling treat, and as I stood in line the horse took a step forward. The wagon rolled forward slightly, the rear tire coming to rest on the toe of my shoe, pinning it in place fast. The boy ahead of me got his treat and left the window.
"What do you want, boy?" asked the man.
All I could come up with was, "I want you to get this tire off my foot."
He gave me my treat that day.
