A misconception from my innocent past:

When we were kids, we called those little double barreled pistols Dillengers.

Bob,
When we were just learning to talk, we picked up some odd things. At age 3, I learned the word for the pesky little bugs that flew into our home. The one word was damnflies. :)

We all, I am sure, have some stories. My Grandfather, whom I followed around like a little puppy, had some 'colorful' sayings. Most I cannot post here. I somehow only picked up, and used on occasion, the really bad ones.

Hi,

At the risk of probably offending 50-eleven different folks by saying this, I have an Asian buddy who still does! I think he does it just to attract attention, because though he's bilingual, he was born here and English IS his first language.
