9E vs SR9

Just acquired a Ruger 9E and was pleased with it's performance.
Now I've had an SR9 before with the updated trigger.... but, other than the slide serrations, what are the differences between the 9E and the SR9?
To me, they both feel and perform identically.

The 9e (got one) doesn't have the popup loaded chamber indicator like the SR9. Most of the internals are interchangeable.

I've also read that the SR9 slide is round on top, vs flat on the 9E; that the rear sights/sight cuts are different; and that the metal finish is different (blue vs nitride).

As always IIRC, FWIW, YMMV, etc.

Plus the SR9 has the manual safety and a stainless slide.

Ah, I wasn’t aware it has that safety. Thanks for the correction.
