88-89 GP100 357 half lug 4"

New guy here, not new to Rugers though.

So I stumbled across this beauty on a local forum and just had to have it. She is a late 80s half lug 4" with fixed sights. The Blueing is about perfect and even wears her original grips. I didn't get a steal on it as I gave $500 for it but I just loved the way it felt and looked.

I picked it up last Sunday night and finally got a day off so out to the farm we went. I needed to sight in my new 12" AR anyway so a couple boxes of 38 and 357 and out we went. Unfortunately I didn't do any paper shooting for accuracy but I did run about 80 rounds threw her and loved every one.

Not the best I'll get some better ones tomorrow. I have already completed a couple things on my to do list, including rounding off the sharp edges on the hammer. I also cleaned up the trigger's rough edges internally.

Next will be a polish to the internals and some new Wolf springs for the DA pull to be easier on my wife, should she need to dispatch a bad guy some night.....

That's a great revolver. A very nice purchase and find. I have the same one that I bought new in 2001 or so. Easy to carry and shoots great. Solid gun.

Thanks guys, I only wish I still had the 7.5" blued super red hawk from the late 70's that I sold a few years ago but oh well.
