77RSI bedding

Any thoughts on glass bedding a Ruger M77RSI Mark II International .308? Bed action or bed action and barrel, what to do with muzzle band?

I've done it from tang to muzzle... be VERY careful doing it. Should be done in two or three stages (barrel first, front lug, rear tang).

Keep the muzzle band on during barrel bedding. Coat it with past wax.

I'm not remotely talented enough to bed a rifle, much less one with a Mannlicher stock, but the 'smith who did my 6.5x55 glassed the action and used a very thick tape to bed the length of the barrel. He also relieved the muzzle cap (and did the jeweling, which I really like) and that total combination makes for a great shooting rifle.
