Well Guys I just picked up a Ruger 77/44, it is a neat little gun. I plan on shooting it for a spell and then turning it into a 357 x 44 Bain & Davis. Is that considered sacrilege to do that to this little Sweetie? I can't help it, I love the B&D. I have a Tender barrel, Encore barrel, Marlin 94 and a Ruger Blackhawk in 357 x 44 B&D. Forgive me Guys.

Neat Idea. But I would of got the 77/357. I would think reaming a chamber would be cheaper than a rebarrel. Either way you will end up with a sweet little combo.

Yes, it should be an easy conversion. With the 77/357 you would need a bolt and magazine. I am guessing that your reasoning is that it might be easier to get an aftermarket 357/44 Bain & Davis barrel made up than to get a 77/44 bolt out of Ruger. At any rate, please give us progress reports on this one

Rj556 hit right on the head. I would had to have sent the rifle to Ruger for any thing such as new bolt and I'm doubtful they would have put a 44 bolt into a 357 action/rifle(then there's the shipping both ways). When I start things I'll post some pic's as things go along. I'm hoping such places as Pac-Nor or someone like that can do a barrel in the factory contour. I guess it's time to start calling around.
