77/22 Trigger

Hello,

I'm new to the forum and I have question about after market triggers for the 77/22. I recently purchased a 22 LR varmint/target model, they seem to be goin' fast these days. I thought aftermarket parts eventually may do the same thing. I was curious if anybody had any suggestions or recommendations for working with or replacing the triggers. Thanks in advance.

Volquartsen offers a drop in sear that will help a bunch... about $30

Replacement triggers may require you file them to allow the rotating safety to function.

Brownells sells trigger and sears for these. This trigger sear also fits the 77/50 muzzle loaders

I would NEVER do a trigger like the one linked to. That trigger job is UNSAFE.

The angles are NEGATIVE and subject to push off if bumped.

Well don't do it then.............but plenty others of us have and don't have issues
