Gents - Took my 9 year old son and a, new to me, 77/22 Mag All Weather to the range the other day. I had installed a new Simmons scope when I picked up the rifle a few months ago, but it had sat in the safe since. No problems getting it zeroed at 25 yards, but noticed immediately that the trigger was quite heavy. I looked around later that night on-line, for a replacement trigger. I noticed that there is a good amount of info out there about modifying the factory trigger, as well as options of different makers, for an aftermarket one. Anyone with experience installing an aftermarket trigger group or modifying the factory, like to pass along their reccomendations, one way or the other. For the most part this will a range use rifle, nothing fancy. BTW, even with the trigger, the rifle shot great with regular Win Dynapoint ammo. Couldn't wipe the smile of my son's face (or mine) as he was tearing out the center of the target - Thanks for the help - Bill in MA

I bought and installed the Timney sear, less than $30, turned it from 6+ pounds and creepy to 2-3 pounds crisp, just what I wanted. Great investment.

I've used a number of the Volquartsen sears in mine, easy drop-in install.

Replacing the trigger assembly usually means filing so the safety will clear as it rotates.

Good luck.
