I saw one of these at a gunshow a couple of months ago in mint condition for $400 (with green inserts). Based on this auction, it was a steal. What am I missing?

Your not missing a thing. $913 is way more than it is worth. You can get a Kimber 22 for less money used and have a much better gun.

I think $400 is where I might not buy it if it weren't in excellent condition.

Yes, I bought one just like it for $399......... I have no idea why someone would pay more than twice value...... Dave
 
Thats just more of the morons out there who use Gun Broker, much more intelligent people here, Gun Broker is for the less informed people out there who have more money than brains.

A Ruger k77/22-vbz on cal.22lr, in Spain, you must pay 1100€.... it's too expensive!!!.

I just sold a K77/22 RS with green inserts for $400. Not perfect, but not abused... the buyer was most concerned with getting an older model that used the v-block barrel.
