77/17HMR Question

Mine has a graphite "bull" barrel with no maker designation and the trgiger is smooooth and light so it is probably is the beneficiary of after market work too. Shoots the lights out but I would really like to know who made the barre as a lead toidentifying any other accurizing parts installed. (I assume Ruger never issued the rifle that way.)

I havea 3x9 variable on it now but am thinkling of getting some true varmint glass for it. Suggestions?

Definately sounds like a built rifle. The only barrel like you describe that I can think of off the top of my head is Butler Creek. They are on the lower end of aftermarket barrels cost wise but who says you have to spend big money for a shooter! Maybe ask this question on Rimfire Central...lots of knowledge there on subjects like this.
