While I'm certain that they work to some degree, they are, IMHO, a solution to a non-existent problem. I would expect that it takes just as long to screw that thing onto the cleaning rod, swab the cylinder thoroughly, then unscrew it and install a bore brush or patch holder as it does to simply swab out all six chambers one at a time.
Besides, what if I have a 7, 8, 9, or 10-shot revolver? I think I'll allocate the cost of one of those devices to ammo or reloading components, and call it good.
