I am seeing a BFR in .45LC/.410 for sale in my area. Is that cylinder a bit long for best performance from a .45? Would it be possible to convert to .454?

Mike, welcome to the forum. I would opt for the normal or short-framed version of the BFR in this case. They do produce a .454.

Sort of what I figured. I know the .45/.410 Contenders are not usually match grade accurate! Just seemed like a decent price, for probably a very strong .45.
