Went to a gun auction last sunday. Five S&Ws followed me home.

There was a lot of good stuff at that auction. Some of it went higher than hell. But a lot of it went pretty cheap.
If you want to have a look, here is a link to the auction. Has pics and final prices. Lots of high dollar engraved guns and rare guns that were way out of my league. But a lot of the older Smiths and a few older Colts went pretty cheap.
Ones I bought were lot numbers 17, 32, 106, 185, and 268.

I looked through the entire auction and came up with the best buys IMHO.
First is lot # 70 Daisy Double barrel with box for $775. I can tell you that was a good buy. I figure the box alone is worth a couple hundred.
2. Lot 105 Ruger Flat top 357 for $675. Not a great buy but good enough.
3. Lot 217 Ruger 10/22 Canadian Centennial with box #C490 for $475. Great buy!
4. Lot 358 Ruger MKII 270 African for $675 - that's about half the going rate!
Some of the Remington shot guns went for exctremely low prices.
Not bad!

They would probably been better off if they had split it up into two auctions. With that many nice firearms, they just didn`t have enough buyers with enough money to throw down.
I know that a couple of local gun dealers walked off with more than 10 guns each. Those are probably for sale in their shops right now at much higher prices.
