5" GP100

I've seen quite a number of 5" barrel length GP100s for sale on Gun Broker; it seem like they might be a Davidson's special edition.
I've got several 4" Gp100s and was wondering if Ruger would rebarrel one with a 5" tube; anyone ever inquire at Ruger with this request?

Yes I have ,NO they won`t .

Ruger barrels are "crush" fit & removing the barrel is "not good" for the frame.

They do do it for warranty purposes , buut when we hear a report of the owner being offered a new gun it probably means they either burggered the threads to no repair or bent the frame to no repair during barrel removal .
