5" Barrels?

I'm looking to get a 357, to be as multipurpose as possible. It seems 6" is too long to carry and 4" a little short for hunting. I'd like input on 5" barreled revolvers. I may get a 6" and shorten.

I dig the 5" GP at the bottom.

Why not just buy one of the 5" GP100's, put out by Davidson's"
