I've owned this gun since 2003 and it's digested just over 3,000 rounds of heavy 475. Every bit as accurate as the day I bought it so I treated it to a facelift:

1) Jack Huntington grip extension with white micarta
2) We cut the barrel and re-crowned it to 6 1/4"
3) 2Dogs front sight
4) Action tuned to 3 lbs, no creep
5) Forcing cone checked out so we didn't true it

Simple modifications but it looks like a new gun. Now if Magnum Research would only ship them like this.

In my opinion Jack's grip extension is a "must" for BFRs. I've been a long time fan of the Bisley, but after holding the JRH design I have a new favorite. It's that good. Not only does it give you more support he added room between the trigger guard and inner edge. My knuckle will be most appreciative.

I have another 100 round session of heavy 420 gr planned soon. I'll let you all know how it does on target.

That turned out perfect! Can't wait to shoot it, Lee! The grip and front sight are all that need to be addressed on BFRs as far as I am concerned.

Just saw Lee's made-over BFR in person and handled it and it is much nicer than the photos even indicate! Wow!
