First thing that came to mind for me too.I was thinking 1970 Chevelle SS 454. Silly me.
Sorry for the confusion but Hawk is correct! I’ve been looking at pistols but the lever popped up.I think he means he was looking at 454 handguns but them the rifle add just popped up in probably a google search
That looks like a 16” carbine?? Wow. Be careful that it’s not a rechambered .45 Colt! The .454 Rossis are engineered with a much stronger action to handle.454. I got a new 20” Rossi in .454 for Christmas and it’s cased up and ready for a trip to the range this weekend, finally!I keep thinking I need a 454 Casull and found a BFR on here. It’s definitely priced better than a Freedom Arms . But then the picture shows what popped up on my local forum!?!?
Thanks for the offer! Maybe I to visit the mountains before my next motorcycle trip!!??I'm a little confused. Is the 454 you desire a handgun or a rifle? You mentioned aBFR & Freedom Arms,, and the attached picture shows a Rossi rifle.
If you put out a WTB ad,, and get the rifle picture,, I'd say a scammer. If you responded to a WTS ad,, and the seller sent a picture of the rifle,, I'd question things a bit.
If you were a wee bit closer to me,, (WNC) I'd let you sample the FA in 454.
I’ll let you know how mine handles .45 Colt. I have a variety of factory .454 and .45 to test. I’m getting back into reloading, slowly, meaning I have all the equipment and components, I just need to take/make the time to spool it back up. I expect I’ll probably have some .45 C loads that will only be for this rifle.Did you get it? Something I've always wanted. Wondering how it handles.45Colt?

This depends entirely on WHAT .45 LC AMMO YOU ARE SHOOTING. This caliber is almost as versatile as the .45 ACP (with +P and 45 Super included). The .45 LC varies in power from the lowly Cowboy round of 185 ft. lbs. all the way up to 1,344 ft. lbs., which is fairly near the .44 Mag max of 1,533 ft. lbs. I have shot the .45 LC Buffalo Bore load of only 1,1216 ft, lbs thru my Ruger .45 Blackhawk Flattop, and this round has a huge kick, flash, and sound. I can't imagine what the 1,344 ft. lbs. round would be like! Either of these rounds would be VERY noticeable on the .454 revolver!45 Colt would be like shooting 44 Specials in a Magnum.
Same could be said about 44 Specials. This depends entirely on WHAT .45 LC AMMO YOU ARE SHOOTING. This caliber is almost as versatile as the .45 ACP (with +P and 45 Super included).
