Those grips are nice because speed loaders worked well. Lots of room (44mag speed loaders work with 45 LC)
Also the gun smith really did this all very inexpensively. I forgot the cost but it was not much to cut the barrel and machine it for the Weigan sight, rounding the butt and polishing and fitting the grips was not that expensive. Bob Shaw, now deceased did the work.

That's really nice! How long is the barrel? I have a 4-inch Redhawk in .454 and it too is one of my favorites, but yours is a whole lot nicer!

I don't have it any more but my guess is 3.25 to 3.5"
I am frustrated by not being able to buy a Talo Wiley Capp GP100 in this state so I'm making another GP100 snubbie on my own.
I'm going to take an adjustable sight stainless GP100 with a four inch barrel and have it cut to 2.75-3.0" I'll have the rib cut for a 1911 style dovetail front sight, and install Mepro low profile adjustable sights on it.
I have a set of discontinued Pachmayr Compact grips to install. I will also install some light springs and smooth the action. Not exactly a WC gun but I know I'll like it. The added bonus will be the adjustable night sights. The whole thing, parts and labor should run about $300. which is about what the Redhawk cost me. Maybe $350 tops. Bob was reasonable on charges.

Thanks Folks. I put those buffalo horn grips on my Cowboy Vaqueros. Got to like them a lot. Some are brownish and some are black with marbling like these.
The only trouble with that gun, is the action differs from the Super Redhawk. The Super is easier to do a really nice job on. The Redhawk never quite gets there.

Bob Shaw, Anaheim, California out of Walker 47 gun store (Excellent gun store and owner) Bob now deceased and deeply missed by hundreds of CAS shooters.
