We've seen that one before. sixshot shared it with us. Still,,, it hurts to see such a fine old gun look like that.

It used to belong to sixshot. Now belongs to Brent Johnson. Has been restored by Ruger. The deck where the picture was taken still looks the same.

Did they convert it to the transfer bar lockwork, too?

Wasn't there speculation that rather than a double charge, it might have been a light charge that detonated?

Double charge of 9 or 10 grains of Unique would come to the top of the case. Would be hard to miss that (or even seat a bullet on top of it, especially a 300 grainer).

No doubt a double charge of Unique can grenade a gun. Really sorry to see this. It was a nice looking piece.
