I like the .444 handgun idea. They make .45-70 revolvers, so why not? I almost got myself a .444 rifle as a companion to my .44 revos. Still might. I have an awful lot of .429" bullets.
The biggest problem with the proposed .429 Nitro, or whatever you want to call it, would be the people out there who then want to take it as a starting point, as the OP is doing with the .44 mag. "Well, if the stock pressure is 108K PSI, I wonder what I can push it to?"
This is America. Horsepower is everything. It even precludes common sense at times.
