41's AGAIN

I missed the original posting of 41's so lets try again! Any 41 fans out there? One of these 41's always goes to the range each time i get out

What I need is a 2 1/2 or 4 incher.

I had a .41 Mag. Freedom Arms for a while...
Definately one of the handguns I regret parting with...
Wonderful cartrage.....and as experts have often said....If he .41 had come out before the .44 it would have been king for a long time...

I don't know why but the 41 loaded to same velocities as the 44 is more controlable and groups better. On the Redhawks I had to change out the grips due my little finger keeps falling off the bottom of the grip. My hands are only of medium size but these Hogue Mono grips work great.

Having had a couple of Blackhawks in .41, I finally found a Smith 57 to replace my Model 29 4 inch I sold. This one is a pure shooter and once belonged to a police officer in a small town (would love to learn it was a duty gun). There is almost no flame cutting in the top strap so it wasn't fired much. Carried alot though. I shot it recently with some of my old handloads I did up about three years ago back when I first got back into reloading on a Lee Safety Scale.

Here's a .41 I got about 3 weeks ago. It was made in 1970. I haven't got to shoot it yet as I just got the dies and such.

41manor44, I was told once that the 41 has 12 lbs. of recoil where as the 44 has 16 lbs. I don't know if that is true, but I can control mine better also. You can see some pictures of mine with the old pictures of me that sixshot posted here in the gallery. Steve

It was done with a laser engraving machine. The panel on the opposite side has my cowboy alias, "Lawful Larry".

He did a great job. I don't use this .41 for CAS. I got the grip from my old model Vaquero, which I sold and got the New Model Vaqeros and am having a great time with them.

The old model Vaquero grip frame is the same as the New Model Blackhawk.

Nice set of 41s Seeemmiss. I would sure like to see more bullets produced as well more load data for this caliber. Sure seems like there are a lot of 41 fans out there. I always have a 41 with me on every range visit. It is a FUN caliber to shot!

Those last 2 are nice conversation pieces plus shooters. Like 'em a lot but when you come right down to it, you've got a nice selection to choose from. It would be hard to decide which one would go with you!

In my original post my 57(no dash) is the second one down but the only thing I did was replace the grips with pachmayr's. I confine it to light duty as I think it was built in the 60s. Mr Martin those are some mighty fine "shootin' irons".

my 69 that im in progress on.found a cylinder{thanx Aggie} had a good gash ithe left heel of the grip so im workin the heel and toe some ,had an old elk crown layin around so said why not give it a try.still like final finishin on GF and grips and then hopefully off to get reblued

No pic to show it off, but I picked up something different in a 41mag last week. A hardly shot 7 1/2" Dan Wesson wearing a 2X scope, and a 5 1.2" barrel still new in its box with the booklet and all the original tools that came with it. Now I need a little less snow on the ground so I can get out and try it out.

Sounds like you got a real find. I've never fired a Dan Wesson but they always looked to me like they were built pretty solid. "New in its box", great find.
