4 Digit Rifles...

Last Saturday at a gun show I saw a couple of cool rifles.

Ruger flat bolt M77R, .243, 93-95% condition, 4 digit serial number (25XX). The guy that had it said he bought it new and had hunted with it a lot and took care of it as well. He had it priced at $700 plus tax.

Ruger No.1S, .243, 90-95% condition, 4 digit serial number. It had vertical split rings. The price was $2850.

If the No. 1 was indeed a BHS (i.e. a "1S" in 243), it is a rare rifle. The price seems high at first, but prices are on the rise and I'm sure there would be more than a few takers at, or near that price these days.
