I know the .380 glock is restricted to LE purchase, but does anyone have one, shot one or know if once purchased by an LEO is it legal to transfer?

If originally imported for an LE contract, they are totally legal. I doubt many were ever imported since they are the same size as the 9mm. I think they were primarily marketed to countries that prohibit civilian ownership of military calibers like the 9mm.

The G25 and G28 are 380s. I believe they are marketed in France and Brazil. If you only had a barrel and mag, should be able to convert G26 or G27. Probably need a different recoil spring. Same holds true for converting the G25 to a G23 or G19. I understand they aren't sold in US because of a lack of market. I think that is BS. Probably to protect American gun manufacturers like Ruger.

It is the points scale that the atf uses. Also they are straight blow back design from what I am told. So nothing interchanges. That is the reason I was wanting one.

That's nonsense. The reason they aren't sold here is Glock assumed there was no market for a .380 pistol as large and heavy as a G19. I believe they are correct in that assumption. The last thing Glock is worried about is "protecting" US manufacturers.

I didn't mean that Glock wanted to protect US gun manufacturers. I meant US gun manufacturers wanted to protect Us manufacturers. I would prefer a 380 baby glock over any Ruger 380 out their although my wife's carry is a LC380. Didn't mean to start a pissing match.

Not that this will help... but I would buy about 20 Sig 230s or 232s before one .380 Glock.
But I do understand some folks are totally turned on by Glocks.

I got to handle a P238 last week and even tried the trigger. Anyone who'd chose a Glock over that sweetie is sick in the head. What an amazing trigger. Its got a great feel to it.
