My 38-40 with an additional cylinder in Herters .401 Power Mag,
Hand loaded only. Haven't got the cylinder fitted yet, but soon.

It was the brain child of George Leonard Herter....who, albeit being something of a blow-hard, produced a catalog of hunting and fishing items and had a revolver made in Germany that he sold. 8)

Oldies, what are you using for brass? If I can find an extra cylinder for my Buckeye Special, I might have it chambered for the .401, but brass is a problem. I guess you can use 30/30 brass to form it out of. 8)

JOE, LET ME BE THE FIRST to recommend to you the fine book CARTRIDGES OF THE WORLD and for the rest of your life, Sir , you will NEVER have to answer a cartridge question in this manner again. Fascinatingly good read to boot.

Am using 41mag brass at this time, re-sized, then again with a
40 S&W die. The web area must then be turned to spec.

Will probably try 30-30 brass also.
