I came across a 375 Ruger with 18.5" barrel. Black matte with black synth stock. Iron sights.

I don't recall ever seeing a 375 with that short of a barrel before? Was this a special run for Lipsey's or something like that?

I don't know of a regular production 375R with a 18.5" barrel. Is the front sight factory or does it show signs of being worked? What does the barrel crown look like? The only way to know for sure is to call Ruger with the serial number and ask how it was shipped.

I'll see if I can get a serial number to check with Ruger. Seems to look factory to me....

If you still have the box, what is the model number?
Sometimes there are short runs of something, for whatever reason...mistake or whatever, and Ruger makes their model number different as a result.
Looks like a black matte version of the Hawkeye Alaskan?

Not sure about a box. I'll ask.

Worth $600? I have no real need or want for a 375 Ruger, but thinking this might be a neat one to pick up while it is there.

Ever call Ruger and find out?
I've since bought a ANIB Boddington Lion in 375 Ruger and the info on the new round is interesting..... pretty neat cartridge.
