Thirty six years ago today, in Worcester Mass., I married my lovely wife. The woman should be 'sainted' for putting up with me for all these years. WE will probably go out to dinner somewhere then we are celebrating tonight by going to a baseball game at Ripken Stadium to watch the Aberdeen Ironbirds take on the Staten Island Yankees.
 
Congrats to y'all for sure. Miss Penny & I only have a bit over 21 years so far. She hasn't killed me yet,,,,,,,,!
 
I add my congratulations, too. Anniversaries are special days.

I hope that you both have a spectacular day.

Aberdeen Ironbirds, Staten Island Yankees. ...not familiar with those two teams. :D :D

The Ironbirds are a "Short season A league" and are an affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. Here is some info about it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minor_league_baseball
Last year we were the Division Champs and this year we are the League Chumps. So far we have won 1 (yes that is a ONE) game.

I tell my Wife that's a loooong time with just one woman. She tells me that it's even longer with just one man. But I love her to pieces.

Hey Frank, how about the Inner Harbor for seafood and then the game. When I lived out there I often did that. Course you're probably tired of seafood living where you do.
 
Congrats ! Best crab cakes we ever had were from near west end of the Bay Bridge(Annapolis). Back around '80 when me'n the wife were dating, I hauled the Honda Sabre down to Leesburg to my Sis's house. We used it to tour/visit Chincoteaque. Fell into a little crab shack there, YUM. On the way back we kept getting stuck behind chicken haulin' trucks. In the 90 degree it was pretty foul smelling ! Then we had to stay in a hotel at the east end of the bridge due to wind. They don't let motorcycles on the bridge above a certain wind speed. We were young and didn't mind another night in a hotel back then. Again, congrats ! Where ya going to dinner ?

I try to stay away from Baltimore as much as possible. I can get all the good seafood I want right here in Havre de Grace.
The Ironbirds play at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen (Cal's home town). The Ironbirds are named in honor of his being the major league "Ironman" with 2131 straight games that he had played in. He, and his brother Billy, "own the team" (we all know there are other 'investors') and the adjoining playing fields for little league play.
 
Did they have dollar hot dog night at the stadium?
That would have made my wife happy, although she wouldn't pass up crab cakes or soft crabs.
Ripken stadium is a nice place to watch a ball game. Not a bad seat in the house. Don't they have a Phillips seafood restaurant there?

They have $1.00 hot dog night at Sunday games. Conrad Crab Shack has been doing the crabs at the stadium the passed two years. Win....what's that? They have played 12 games...they have won 1 (that is "won ONE").

Port Deposit. We used to drive the River Road on weekends and eat crabs there. Loved that place.
What I really miss is that Maryland crab soup that the road houses served. People up here don't even know what I'm talking about when I say that.

I wish I had the recipe.

Met my wife on Smith Island way back in 1977 and ate at Mrs. Kitchings house one night. If you follow her directions TO THE LETTER the results are unbelievable.
