.358 barrel???

Is it possible to buy a .358 barrel from ruger?

I'm looking to buy a .308 LH hawkeye and either rebarrel or rebore to .358. Which would be the better way to go? Thank you for your help -

Call and ask but I highly doubt they will. This would be considered custom work which Ruger does not do. I would rebarrel myself there are many barrel makers to choose from and many options as far as barrel contour length materials etc. You will end up with a much better quality barrel than the factory.You could then sell the takeoff barrel to offset the cost a little. The 358 is an excellent cartridge which will serve you well for nearly anything in North america. Welcome to the forum.
