I picked up one of the Grice Ruger Americans in 358 Win a few years ago. Great rifle, now it’s time to add a suppressor. Does anyone know what the thread size might be? Thanks
Thanks for the replies. 5/8-24 it is NOT. A 5/8-24 thread protector will not thread on. Maybe 11/16-24 will work.
I’ll call Ruger customer service on Monday

Spec sheet on the .358 Win Hawkeye says 11/16"-24. Would guess it's the same. Cheap set of calipers and the fact that I've never seen metric muzzle threads on a Ruger would tell ya.
That probably cuts way down on your options. I had to go with a somewhat 'non-standard' 9/16x24 on a Remington I had threaded. The outer diameter was too small for 5/8x24. At the time, RUGGED was the only name brand option for the muzzle mount.
Lots more options now but still far fewer than 5/8x24.
Plenty of options for Alpha or hub mount in 11/16"-24. Believe that's a "standard" thread for big bores like .45-70, .458, in as much as such a thing exists.
