357 Shooters

I need someone in the in the south west who will receive bullets from us. These are the Lyman 358429 @ .358". They will test 'bout 12 BHN. I'm trying a different lube & would like to see how this lube fairs being shipped in major heat. If you would like to shoot them in major heat & give a report that would be nice also.

How about Yuma Proving Ground, AZ? Home of 'The Hottest Airfield in the U.S. Army.' It's only been running about 105-110 the last couple of weeks. We expect it to warm up some in weeks to come.

I'd be more than pleased to test a few for you.

those are some really good looking bullets. It was certainly nice to see the graphic design. I'm anxious to see the "test" results and marketing availability.

Been selling this bullet for 10 years & shooting it for 29. It does get mixed reviews. Seems some sixguns don't like it. I've found a lube which works great but I'm not sure how it will ship in extreme heat so my friend in FL is going to find out.

How nice does that bullet play in the shorties...like 3" SP101 or 1-7/8" M36"? I've been considering switching from swc's to Keith style bullets in my daily carry "field guns".

At 59 yrs old and only having been reloading for a couple of years, I have a whole lot of catching up to do before I'm too old to do :wink:

Someone else may speak to the Ruger but for the M36 it will work fine. The cylinder is plenty long so the bullet can be seated to the crimp groove. 5 grains of Unique in the 38 Special case makes for a sensible full load which the little Smith should handle with no problem.

Our website lists machine cast bullets or as we call them blasting bullets. The hand cast Keiths & others are only listed when in stock & are found on the Specials Page. http://www.drycreekbullets.com/specials.htm

We do from time to time have bullets to put there but mostly supply doesn't keep up with demand. I do most our casting of the winter as we work part time during the summer for a clearing company cutting trees with my trusty Stihl. 8)

I will try casting of the summer if someone needs the Keiths but because of work I can not give a firm time frame.
