After 255 rounds of various ammo such as .38 SPL 130gr FMJ Target, .38+p 135gr Gold Dot SB, Federal.38 SPL Hydrashok, 357 125gr Federal JHP and .357 Gold Dot SB 135gr through my .357 LCR, I find that at 11 Yards I get the same accuracy with .38SPL Federal Eagle FMJ Target Load as with the .357 Gold Dot SB. I also have a Ruger SP101.357 2.25" that I got in 2008 and a Colt Commander .45ACP. Right now I find that I enjoy the LCR the most, don't know why exactly. hope my observations can be useful.

The 357-LCR is a much better shooting revolver than it looks. I enjoy shooting mine also. It is strong, dependable, compact, versatile, powerful, smooth, fast and accurate. Whats not to like?

Good to hear. At some point in the next 1 1/2 - 2 years, I think I'll be in the market for either a .357 LCR or a SP101. Observations like this are helpful.

Another good commonly available CCW round is the Win. PDX, however I have mine loaded with Double Tap 38 Special +P 110gr Barnes TACXP. Naildrivers as well in my .357 LCR. :wink:

I am also considering a 357 LCR for a carry gun and the comments and experiences posted here have been very helpful.
