.357 and accurate no.9?

I found out about no9 about 2yrs ago. I reload for more than a couple 357's with it and am nothing but pleased.
I always went back to Unique when trying different powders, but I think this one will hang around some.
I worked up to the loads that I'm using, but am unable to tell the starting and max point because of a fire that ate all my manuals and notes.
Please keep in mind, the Ruger is built like a tank and can handle most any load "BUT" even a tank can be destroyed.
It seems that "MY" Rugers like the 180 xtp pushed to the limit and are very accurate, but the like the 180wfngc even better.
PS Security Six likes a different load, Blackhawk different, and Redhawk different also but, they seem to like it towards the top of loading.

In the 357mag I shoot a lot of #9 now after I was not able to get H-110 for a while. I also shoot a lot of XTPs including the 180gr bullet. I use 12.0gr of Accurate #9 powder, a WSP (standard) primer, 180gr XTP loaded to 1.580" in Federal brass. This is very accurate and shows no pressure signs in any of my guns. This combo is very nice out of my 357mag rifle.
For the 158gr XTP I use 13.8gr of #9 and the same primer, brass and COL.
...And for sport/plinking I use 13.0gr of #9 with a 158gr copper plated bullet. This shoots very good in revolvers and rifle also. 8) 8)

With a 6" barrel you should get around 1200fps with 12.0gr of #9 and a 180gr XTP bullet. That's what the load data says.

I am using #9 under 180 grain hardcast 10.7 grains. Should be about 1100 to according to the data but never chrono the load. Very accurate light recoil and very clean load. It is my go to load for my smith 686 which is my woods gun. I am sure I could run it hotter but don't see the need.

AA9 is the unsung hero for hot revolver loads.
It can be extremely 'accurate'; its accuracy / velocity balance can be untouchable.
It does not demand a Magnum primer.
Its recoil signature seems lessened.
It meters like sand.
It offers a low flash signature.
It has excellent data from Accurate.
I found it at its verybest in 357 Magnum, 10mm, 41 Magnum, and superb in hot 44 Magnum and 45 Colt.
