I traded into a sp101 327 fed a while back (one of the new ones). I noticed later that when locked up I could push the front of the cylinder out of battery. Looking closer revealed the barrel appeared overclocked and the front latch worn. An email to Ruger and it's on the way back. UPS delivered it home yesterday. Barrel adjusted, new front latch and rear sight. Even had a copy of the sight in target from test firing and all new documents in new Ruger box! Not a penny out if pocket and I got it second hand. Can't wait to see if I can better their grouping!

I bought a new Single Seven a few weeks back and after 50 rounds I noticed that the front sight was canted to the left. An email to Ruger with my concern, they sent a R/A #, off it went and about 10 days later my gun was back, gooder than new. Ruger cares about their consumer.

I just mailed two off today. A 357 made around 1980 and a 44 special flattop, one of their first runs. Nothing seriously wrong with the flattop. Just not as smooth as i felt it should have been. The 357 was abused and after i got it home, i decided they needed to look at it before i started tinkering with it.
