Is this a proprietary round? Man I look at that case and the shoulders and it just jumps out at me you could reload it for bear for a self defense round. Any experience at all with it?

for bear ? i assume that was being used as just an expression :)

A quick search looks like it was designed for NAA's little semi auto mouse gun.

from http://www.handgunsmag.com/ammunition/32_0924/

Typical of Cor-Bon loads, the .32 NAA round is designed for serious business. Launching a 60-grain JHP bullet, Cor-Bon predicted 1,200 fps and 192 ft-lbs of energy and the combination exceeded Cor-Bon's predictions. Twenty rounds averaged a blistering 1,204-fps with an extreme spread of 69 fps and a standard deviation of 19 fps on the Oehler 35P. The combination accounted for 193.09 ft-lbs of energy.

looks like a nice small pocket pistol combo.

Here's the Midway ballistics Information for the Cor-Bon .380:

•Muzzle Velocity: 1050 fps

•Muzzle Energy: 220 ft. lbs.

EDITED:

While I would still rather have the .380 it appears from these stats that there's little difference. The Walther I have appears to have little over the mousegun NAA has than maybe better accuracy but at 5 yrds- just maybe the weight isn't worth it?
