I apologize for any missed punctuation missing capitals.
I hadn't given this a lot of thought until yesterday when I discovered how much easier it was tto cycle the action of a 3 lug bolt with my bandaged hands. I can effectively 'palm' the bolt knob of the TC Compass w/o causing problems. I couldn't find any good way to cycle the Savage 110 bolt.
Since my right palm is the only area that wasn't significantly burned, I don't have a lot of options.

Would venture that the "bolt lift" is several degrees less with 3 lugs than 2, therefore making it easier to raise the bolt handle.
60 degrees versus 90 degrees so to speak.

Ive had my A-Bolt II for about 30 years now. I don’t think it’s any easier to cycle than a good, smooth 2 lug rifle it just require less rotation from my perspective. I do find the Savage 110 bolt a little ‘stickier’ than many others though.

One of the things touted by Weatherby was the ease of the 60 degree lift of the bolt due to 9 locking lugs - 3 banks of 3.
