Thanks VERY much for contributing to our little project! We have our 1st consecutive pair with the addition of your rifle! Unfortunately we can no longer get ship dates easily from Ruger, so if you have a letter with yours we'd sure love to know what the ship date is.

So now we have 32 rifles accounted for with 1 consecutive pair known.

Wow,....perhaps there were not even 200 units made. I thought by now there would be more folks with them, but then again not everyone with them will see this thread.

Too bad Ruger itself would step up with the info they have, sure would be nice to know! We all know they read these forums... :lol:

I've got one, # 132-55689. I didn't know that the #3 had been made in 44 mag caliber until I saw it
at an estate auction. I bought it but I didn't get the box or any papers with it. I hadn't given too much
thought about rarity or value and have been using it for deer hunting here in Indiana. I have taken
several deer with it but also have added a few very light marks to the wood. Maybe I should make a
safe queen out of it and hunt with something else. I do love it though. The # 3 and the 44 mag is
a great paring and I always thought that Ruger missed the boat by not offering the # 3 in 30-30.

Saw two for sale at a gunshow today.

132-42791 About a 90% rifle. No box or papers. $850.00

132-55549 High 90's%. Fair box that matches and I believe all papers. $1150.00. No idea on ship dates. Owner was getting cranky from everybody opening the box, so he put it under the table. Both were still there when they closed the doors.

Also a .375 Win. 90% rifle. No box or papers. Never got serial number. $750.00(I think).

I ran across a gentleman at a local gun show who had a #3 in .44 Mag. He let me copy the serial number to add to this list. He had no idea of a ship date. It is
132-39098. He did not want to sell it, said it was eye candy.

It's been a long while since I've posted anything here because I had a major hard drive crash. I was crushed to think I'd lost everything... However: After much labor, great expense (850 bucks to a data recovery specialist!) and such, I have 100% of my data recovered, including the (now well backed up) Ruger No. 3 spreadsheet!

As time permits I will go through the entire list and all the messages to make sure we've captured them all.

We have 21.5% of the (perhaps) mythical "200" Rifles.
