My nephew called a few days ago and said he found a 257 Weatherby in Cabelas Allen store. We're on sale for 1049.00 and had two more. I called and the sales person said no they don't have any. Called nephew back and he told me to tell sales person to look in the vault. Sure enough had two left at 1049 dollars sale price. Told him to ship it to Cabelas in Lubbock and picked up today. Wood is not bad. Think it is Circassian.
I had sent Jason from Lipseys a message just a few days before that and he said they were still filling orders for the 257 along with going into production on this years guns.
They are still out there!

Nephew said his on the chronograph was 3750 degrees fps with 100 grain factory loads. 2 inches high at a hundred yards and dead on at 400 yards!

Which 100 grain factory load ? Weather has the Norma bullet like mine & the 100 grain Hornady with a better tip. I just got into a club with a nice 500 yard setup, anxious to check. Both Deer I shot last fall went straight down.

If I was going to work up a load, I look hard at the 110gr. Accubond and IMR 4350. See the Nosler Manual for details. Bob!
