Today is the first time to fire the newest .243 Flatbolt. Shooting 75gr. Nosler Zipedo bullets at 100 yards using IMR 4831 powder and Federal 210 primers. The first shot was the upper one from a clean barrel.....well, I couldn't have been happier. 5 shots here. Dr.C

The .243 is one of my most favored rifle calibers for hunting. However,, I haven't used one for many, many years. I gave mine to my son. They are accurate, & low recoil & will anchor most animals when the proper shot placement & bullet selection is used.
Yours looks just fine!

Lee, I got a hollow bolt from you and would like some more. Going to Tulsa in November ? Got a front sight hood ? LOL Dr.C

That's a mighty respectable grouping. Looks like that .243 is ready to use on squirrels & rabbits, hogs & javelinas, coyotes, pronghorn, or white tails... from spitting distance to a couple hundred yards.

It's nice to find a rare one that's good to look at and shoots that well. Looks like a dang good find.
