The kids/grandkids were here over the weekend and everyone who wanted to shoot got a chance(mostly the grandkids aged 6, 9, and Bday boy=10). This morning we shot handguns for a while. Grandson made up a target with scoring rings/spots on it and he and his parents shot "for score" just to humor him. He did pretty well using my old 22/45 with me holding the barrel to steady and maintain control. Anyhoo, when they were all done, I asked what the score was and where I had to hit to win. Grandson called out two spots and I hit both with one shot each to win the "match". Guess I just had to be a show-off.
22/45 wins again

Yeah, I suppose but sometimes you gotta feed that competitive spirit. It was his first time shooting a handgun so he was just thrilled hitting the 12x18" target rather than the dime sized spots.
On the positive side, I think his Mother is going to cooperate with him going deer hunting this year.

Ok, it was his first time,,, we'll let you slide. (Can't have his parents beating grandpa!) Besides,,, he should go deer hunting,,, just remind his mom where the groceries come from!
