Just recently a friend showed me his 22/45 with cocbolo stocks. I like the grip frame much better than my Ruger Liberty model 22. Mine is very accurate and has a Bomar solid rib on it. Can the top ends and frames be swithed on the new 22/45s and the old (made in 1976) Ruger 22s? I tried to search 22/45s on this forum but the search failed. Thanks.

Short answer; Sometimes.
I have swapped top ends around on some MKI & MKII guns just to try them out, and they work. But sometimes a bit of fitting would be needed. I have not tried swapping around any on the MKIII yet though.

They should swap just fine, they all have the same locking block for the frame. Occasionally with the 22/45 the top will feel loose and needs to be set back on the frame a little more.
