22/45 Mark III scopes??

I've been wanting a nice plinker for a while, my Super Redhawk 44 mag isn't real user friendly for extended target shooting. I picked up a 22/45 Mark III the other day and am interested in mounting a scope on it. I have read that they are very accurate with open sites, I would like to add a scope to keep in practice for hunting with my 44. Anyone have scope suggestions. Also interested in a holster, probably just a hip holster. I have a bianchi chest holster for my 44, but don't think I need something like that for the .22. Thanks in advance for your input.....

I would consider putting same optis on both guns. This will really help you practice more realistically for using your 44.
Blackhawk makes a hard plastic holster that will hold the MKIII with a scope.
