Who has one/what's the report/what kind of shake-down buffing out does it need???

I have one and like it a lot. They should work out of the box, but I always suggest a MkII hammer bushing to eliminate the mag disco, plus VQ sear and trigger.

I have a couple, though they worked fine from the box, mine each have hammer bushings and LCI fillers from Tandemkross, as well as new sears from Volquartsen.

Those changes make the mags drop free, eliminate the magazine "safety", improve feeding, simplify take-down and lighten the trigger pull.

I like them even better now.

Not really... other than the treatment to the aluminum around the barrel (holes vs grooves) and the color, they are the same... but I'd take them all day long over the SR-22 pistol.

We use one in our WOT clinics. (Had our last clinic of the season yesterday.) Box stock, factory made & works just like all Rugers should.
