I'm doing this from work, think I recall correctly. I have 4 of the darn things & adjusted the trigger on all.
The top front is over travel. Bottom is trigger spring pressure. Rear is sear engagement and "turning in" lessens engagement. The 1st stage trigger return is not adjustable, that's handled by the larger vertical spring going from receiver to trigger.
If you go too far on sear engagement you'll get a single stage heavy as heck pull, just back off a 1/4 turn. One little PITA I noted is that when checking to ensure sufficient sear engagement the trigger will hold when the gun is on safe, the sear won't slip when you work the action hard with the receiver out of the gun. But that once assembled and working the action hard what held with the receiver out doesn't hold with it in. Maybe having a hold of the stock allows the operation to be done a bit harder, I don't know. So I always leave the trigger a bit heavier than it holds when testing out of the stock.
If I got my screws wrong I hope someone will correct.
I think the 77V has a great adjustable trigger, I like it better than the 700.
