Yes, another topic from me on #1s...

At this time Davidsons is listing some #1Bs in .223 for almost $200 less than all the other #1s they have, and it isn't showing as a "sale" price. Is it normal for the .223 to be that much less than the others? I note that the (1) .223 "V" they have is at the higher price.

I also note that the B has a 26", 1:9 twist barrel, where the V is a 24", 1:14 twist. Interesting.

Sam,

The 14 twist has been around for a long time in the 22 centerfire world. Really made for a 50-52gr old time bullet. The newer twists, 8's, 9's etc; are tailored for the long 224 type bullets. The longish heavy type 224 bullets were used in the military matches for their long distance edge and have spilled over into other disciplines.

I still shoot the 14 twist, gots the bullets on hand. However a 220 ackley with a fast twist for the newer bullets is enticing to try out sometime.

Contact CDNN. They have them listed in their "Dealer's Only" flyer at a great price.

I would love to have one in .221 Rem Fireball.
