Is this really a $2000 gun? Are they that rare?

It's only worth what somebody actually pays for it, not what somebody would like to get for it.

Trail, In a word --- No! It has been on GB for months now and I don't even watch it anymore. It is a nice rifle but there are more RS (Rings & Sights) and S (Sights only) rifles than R (Rings only - no iron sights) 350 models so it isn't as rare as an R. I've had at least 3-4 RS 350's over the years but no one can say how rare it might be. The R 350 is the only one I couldn't find, and I've done every model of the Flat Bolts twice. It may be a 1200 dollar rifle (It is an RS Flat bolt 350 after all) to someone but not a 1750 rifle and certainly not a 2350 :!: IMHO :!:

If I remember correct, the short action came out slightly before the long action and the 6.5 and 350 Rem Mags were the most powerfull in the 77 lineup for a short time.
