1954 Single Six Flatgate.

Shipped in August 1954 according to documents provided to me from Ruger. Has original box, gun wrapping paper, manual and purchase receipt (around $63.00). S/N under 2,000.

Has transfer bar installed, but Ruger sent back original parts in a niffy looking Ruger box (1983). Not sure if this happened when transfer bar was installed, but there are slight...very slight screwdriver type marks on a couple of the screws. Bluing is excellent and no wear marks to speak of. It's probably highly collectable.

Deciding whether to sell it or try and find replacement screws and keep it.

I am the second owner and have never shot the revolver. First owner said he hasn't shot it since the early 60's.

Sweet looking single six.

Any idea as to it's worth?

sounds like a very nice type I ( smooth front sight blade??) the screws can be touched up if the slots are not too badly 'boogered'....heck you can always put the old parts back in and make her 'whole' again.....that is a 'classic' and a keeper, and yes, very 'collectible'...one of our favorites

a very NICE gun and package, yes one of you "1954 guys" should buy this "package", and besides its a very 'catchy' serial number, we like it,sorry but Momma (Laura) already has this same "package".........
