Hi, Looking at various one piece Magwell options for a Colt 1991A1 Compact, which is essentially an Officers Model. Curious about the experiences of those here. I'm considering the Stan Chen Shooter Installed Magwell. Also looking at the Smkith and Alexander Magwells. S&A has arched Magwells available, as well as straight. Thanks for your observations!

Thank you for your comments. Now I'll patiently await notification of in stock availability. Its killing me;)

I'm a big fan of Smith & Alexander one piece MSH and magwell.

I looked at the S&A Magwells. What I found appealing was that the S&A's come in arched MSH. I think this is a good option. Hmmm...

I've had 3 of the SA's over the decades & I like them just fine, I can't imagine you wouldn't too.
Who knows how long you'd be waiting if you went with the Chen.
If it were me, I'd call to see what the expected wait time is to restock (if you haven't already). I've never bought any of his parts but I've heard the wait times can be lengthy.
I wish I could afford one of his 1911's. Those I've heard have a really long wait time.

I've thought about buying a few of both, and hold them like bitcoin;). I did get notice that the Stan Chen's for the full size are available. I considered that, but then I have to modify or order new wood grips. The wood grips I have are very nice, and I see no reason to change or modify them. I suppose I could buy another 1911...
