Did one on a 10/22 using an ER Shaw barrel and a Magnum Research bolt handle. Functions fine and darn accurate. Only issue was with some early ammo as the cases weren't produced/annealed proper;y so there was case splitting and a rupture. (5 shots told me to whoa) Changed ammo and it's a tack driver. 8)
I did a 10-22 and a 96-22 with Green Mtn barrels. Both shoot good but I haven't shot the lever gun much. I use the 17M2 for killing varmints in live traps or inside buildings=no pass through.

I have a .17hm2 barrel and mid-heavy charging handle with a 10/22 hammer spring that I used to convert mine to .17hm2. I liked the conversion just not enough places open year around to shoot it the indoor ranges says it shoots to fast for there range but people can shoot .17hmr. So if your interested in it make me an offer. Its a green mountain heavy taper barrel with a mid-wieght charging handle and a 10/22 mag hammer spring w/about 75 rounds of ammo.
