Does anyone know the how many Lbs of trigger pull out of the box the 10/22 has? Mine is 6 yrs old and it seems very stiff.

I never measured it, but they suck out of the box. One of the best things you can do is buy the kit from Vorquartson or Power Custom. Makes a world of difference!

gunman got that one right! Real heavy out of the box along with lots of "creep". I like to do my own trigger jobs but you have to be careful.
Power Custom is my favorite for "drop in" replacement hammer and sear.
Out of box 10/22 is Minute of Jack Rabbit at 50 yards. Power Custom or Volquartsen is Minute of Bunnies eye at 50!

I went the cheap route and did my own polishing and grinding. I haven't
fired mine since I last worked on it but I think I have it down to about a
2 lb. pull now. There are threads in here somewhere on how to do it, if
you're so inclinded. I'll be at the range Friday to check it out.

35 to 100+ dollars.... I've been studying trying to do my own.... but the best I can see is 6-8 hours work and that does not even come close to matching $30 or $40. I'd buy the kit...

with new spring, hammer and sear too, I think.... at the same time get a new bolt lock part... I hate the bolt lock back function on the factory 10/22.

There is also a company out there, can't remember who, that sells the whole trigger group to a certain pull.

I've gone a few different routes, from the basic $35 hammer replacement to a full $250 Jard assembly. Have a Volquartsen TG2000 and a bunch of TT Shooter reworks in there as well. For the vast majority of folks, the simple hammer replacement will more than satisfy. I know I won't buy another TG2000 again unless it's another discounted one - like 1/2 regular price. I can send my factory assemblies off to TT Shooter and for $80 have a trigger nicer than the $200 Volquartsen one. Having a fancy machined housing isn't worth the extra $120 to me so it's either TT's rework or a DIY one for me from now on. One exception though will be a pending build that WILL get a Kidd trigger.
For the most part, go the route that suits the expectations and use of the gun. In other words, a simple plinker doesn't need a $200 trigger while at the same time, if you're making a NICE target shooter, don't skimp and go with a $35 hammer and call it good.

My gunsmith did an incredible job on mine, no creep and is super smooth and light around 1.5 pounds and have had no light stikes.

LOL, that's 3 on the 1st stage and 3 on the 2nd stage of the Kidd trigger.

Now the nicely reworked Clark that cost a heck of a whole lot less breaks at a crisp and repeatable 2.5 lbs. (digital trigger gauge, average reading).

For a nice shooter you can send your trigger assembly to Clark and for $75.00 they will tweak it. If you have a plastic one and want metal, add another 30 bucks. Buy one (metal) for $145.

All good

Another option is a Hornet trigger.... buy a complete trigger assembly outright, or send yours in for a trigger job.

Try replacing just the hammer, it's a lot less expensive than the whole kit or even a trip to the gunsmith.

I replaced the hammer with a Volquartsen one and the pull dropped to about three pounds and is nice and crisp. Practical accuracy is now terrific.
